حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّالَانِيِّ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ
صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْضَ الصَّلَوَاتِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَنْ هَهُنَا مِنْ رَهْطِ فُلَانٍ؟ إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ قَدِ احْتَبَسَ عَنِ الْجَنَّةِ بِدَيْنٍ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ فَإِمَّا أَنْ تَفْدُوهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ اللهِ وَإِمَّا أَنَّ تُسْلِمُوهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in one of the prayers, then said, “Who is here from the clan of so-and-so? Indeed, your companion has been detained from Paradise because of a debt he owed. So either ransom him from the punishment of Allah or surrender him [to it].”
