✧ A man asked the messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "O messenger of Allah, I am a man to whom handsomeness and beauty have been made beloved, to the point that I do not love for anyone to surpass me in a sandal strap. Is that from arrogance?" He said, "No, but arrogance is from despising people and rejecting the truth."
