حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَحُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نُزُولًا فِي دَارِ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ فَبَيْنَا شَيْخٌ فِيهِ حِدَّةٌ وَجَهْلٌ وَمَعَهُ جَارِيَةٌ فَلَطَمَ وَجْهَهَا فَمَا رَأَيْتُ سُوَيْدًا أَشَدَّ غَضَبًا مِنْهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ
«أَعَجَزَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا حُرُّ وَجْهِهَا؟ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي سَابِعَ سَبْعَةٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ مُقَرِّنٍ وَمَا لَنَا خَادِمٌ إِلَّا خَادِمٌ فَلَطَمَ أَصْغَرُنَا وَجْهَهَا فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعِتْقِهَا»

✧ Safina reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Were you unable to do anything but strike her face? I saw myself as the seventh of seven of the children of Muqarrin, and we had no servant except one servant. The youngest of us slapped her face, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to set her free.”
