حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ عَنْ سَفِينَةَ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَمْلُوكًا لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَتْ «§أَعْتِقُكَ وَأَشْتَرِطُ عَلَيْكَ
أَنْ تَخْدُمَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا عِشْتَ» قُلْتُ لَوْ لَمْ تَشْتَرِطِي عَلَيَّ مَا فَارَقْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَا عِشْتُ فَأَعْتَقَتْنِي وَاشْتَرَطَتْ عَلَيَّ
Translation

✧ Safina said: Umm Salamah said to me: “I will set you free on the condition that you serve the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as long as you live.” I said: “Even if you had not stipulated this condition upon me, I would not have parted from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as long as I live.” So she set me free and stipulated that upon me.
