al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 644

✧ On the Day of Judgement, Allah has prepared punishment and anger for those who steal the wealth of a Muslim, or falsely swear on them with a false oath.

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَخْبَرَنِي قَيْسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ أَنَّ الْأَشْعَثَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ صَبْرٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ عَفَا عَنْهُ أَوْ عَاقَبَهُ»

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Whoever swears a patient oath to seize thereby the property of a Muslim will meet God ﷻ while He is angry with him, whether He pardons him or punishes him.'
