ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ حَيَّاتِ الْبُيُوتِ فَقَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْهُنَّ شَيْئًا فِي مَسَاكِنِكُمْ فَقُولُوا نَشَدْنَاكُمُ الْعَهْدَ الَّذِي أَخَذَ عَلَيْكُمْ نُوحٌ نَشَدْنَاكُمُ الْعَهْدَ الَّذِي أَخَذَ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ فَإِنْ عُدْنَ فَاقْتُلُوهُنَّ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade killing house snakes. He said, "When you see any of them in your dwellings, say: We adjure you by the covenant which Noah took upon you, and we adjure you by the covenant which Sulayman b. Dawud took upon you. If they return, then kill them."
