حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ وَأَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ «أَلَا إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعٌ» فَمَا أَنَا الْيَوْمَ بِأَشَحَّ مِنِّي يَوْمَ سَمِعْتُهُنُّ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَزْنُوا وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: “Indeed they are only four.” And I am not more protective of them today than the day I heard them from the Messenger of God ﷺ: “Do not associate anything with God, and do not kill the soul which God has made inviolable except with right, and do not commit adultery, and do not steal.”
