حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَدَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَقَالَ «أَدْرِكْهُ فَإِنَّهُ عَيْنٌ» فَأَدْرَكْتُهُ وَكُنْتُ خَفِيفًا فَقَتَلْتُهُ فَنَفَّلَنِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَلَبَهُ

Translation

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ when a man came and entered the mosque. He said: "Catch him, for he is a spy." I caught him, being swift, and killed him, and the Prophet ﷺ gave me his belongings as a reward.
