حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَّامِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهَيْفَاءِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَايَعَ لِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى وَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ فِي حَاجَتِكَ وَحَاجَةِ رَسُولِكَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pledged allegiance on behalf of Uthman b. Affan ؓ with one of his hands over the other, and said: "O Allah, Uthman is engaged in Your service and the service of Your Messenger."
