✧ Salman al-Farsi, also known as Abu Abdullah, "Accepted Islam Prior to the Prophet's Migration to Medina, Was Enslaved, Died alongside the Prophet in the Battles of Badr and Uhud, and Witnessed the Construction of the Trench. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَلْمَانُ بْنُ الْإِسْلَامِ قَالَ
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ وَأُشْهِدُ مَلَائِكَتَكَ وَحَمَلَةَ الْعَرْشِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَالْأَرَضِينَ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَأُشْهِدُ جَمِيعَ خَلَقِكَ بِأَنَّكَ اللهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَأُكَفِّرُ مَنْ أَبَى ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ مَنْ قَالَهَا مَرَّةً عُتِقَ ثُلُثُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَنْ قَالَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ عُتِقَ ثُلُثَاهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَنْ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا عُتِقَ مِنَ النَّارِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever says: 'O Allah, I call You to witness, and I call to witness Your angels, the bearers of the Throne, the heavens and whoever is in them, the earths and whoever is in them, and I call all Your creation to witness that You are Allah; there is no god but You; and I disavow whoever rejects that among the earlier and later people; and I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger' — whoever says it once, one-third of him is freed from the Fire; whoever says it twice, two-thirds of him are freed from the Fire; and whoever says it three times, he is freed from the Fire.
