وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ سَهْلٍ
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ الْتَقَى هُوَ وَالْمُشْرِكُونَ فَاقْتَتَلُوا فَلَمَّا مَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى عَسْكَرِهِ مَالَ الْآخَرُونَ إِلَى عَسْكَرِهِمْ وَفِي أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ رَجُلٌ لَا يَدَعُ لَهُمْ فَاذَّةً وَلَا شَاذَّةً إِلَّا اتَّبَعَهَا بِضَرْبَةٍ مِنْ سَيْفِهِ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
Translation

✧ That the Messenger of God ﷺ met the polytheists and they fought. When the Messenger of God ﷺ withdrew to his camp, the others withdrew to their camp. Among the Companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ there was a man who would not leave any isolated one or straggler of theirs but he followed it with a strike of his sword. Then he mentioned the hadith.
