حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ أَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَكَانَ لَهَا عَبْدٌ نَجَّارٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا «مُرِي عَبْدَكِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ لِي أَعْوَادًا كَالمِنْبَرِ» فَأَمَرَتْ عَبْدَهَا فَذَهَبَ إِلَى الْغَابَةِ فَقَطَعَ مِنَ الطَّرْفَاءِ فَصَنَعَ لَهُ مِنْبَرًا فَلَمَّا قَضَاهُ أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَضَاهُ قَالَ فَأُرْسِلَ بِهِ إِلَيَّ فَجَاءُوَا بِهِ إِلَيْهِ فَاحْتَمَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَوَضَعَهُ حَيْثُ تَرَوْنَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for a woman among the Emigrants who had a carpenter slave. He said to her: “Order your slave to make me some wooden planks like a minbar.” So she ordered her slave. He went to the forest, cut some tamarisk, and made a minbar for him. When he had finished it, she sent word to the Prophet ﷺ that it was ready. He said: So it was sent to me. They brought it to him, and the Prophet ﷺ carried it and placed it where you now see it.
