حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى صِبْيَانٍ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ بِالتُّرَابِ فَنَهَاهُمْ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «دَعْهُمْ فَإِنَّ التُّرَابَ رَبِيعُ الصِّبْيَانِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by some children who were playing with dirt, and some of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ wanted to forbid them, so he said: “Leave them, for dirt is the springtime of children.”
