✧ He went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until when he was at al-Kharrār, he entered some water to wash, and he was a fair-skinned man. ʿĀmir b. Rabīʿah passed by him and said, "Never have I seen, as on this day, the beauty of anything, nor the skin of a secluded maiden." Sahl did not remain but that he was struck down. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ supplicated for him and said, "For what reason does one of you kill his brother? Whom do you suspect in this?" They said, "ʿĀmir b. Rabīʿah." So he summoned ʿĀmir and called for a vessel containing water. He ordered ʿĀmir to wash his face in the water, the extremities of his hands, his knees, and the extremities of his feet. Then the Prophet ﷺ took the upper portions of ʿĀmir's waist-wrapper and its inner side and immersed them in the water. Then he poured the vessel over Sahl's head and tilted the vessel from behind him. Sahl was released, with no harm upon him.
