حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ قَالَا ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعِيدٍ وَكَانَ يُسَمَّى الصَّرْمَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ أَرْبَعَةٌ لَا أُوَمِّنُهُمْ فِي حَلٍّ وَلَا حَرَمٍ الْحُوَيْرِثُ بْنُ نُفَيْلٍ وَمَقِيسُ بْنُ ضَبَابَةَ وَهِلَالُ بْنُ خَطَلٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ فَأَمَّا حُوَيْرِثُ فَقَتَلَهُ عَلِيٌّ ؓ وَأَمَّا مَقِيسُ بْنُ ضَبَابَةَ فَقَتَلَهُ ابْنُ عَمٍّ لَهُ لِحَاءً وَأَمَّا هِلَالُ بْنُ خَطَلٍ فَقَتَلَهُ الزُّبَيْرُ وَأَمَّا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ فَاسْتَأْمَنَ لَهُ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ وَكَانَ أَخَاهُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَقَيْنَتَيْنِ كَانَتَا لِمِقْيَسٍ تُغَنِّيَانِ بِهِجَاءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قُتِلَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا وَأَفْلَتَتِ الْأُخْرَى فَأَسْلَمَتْ

✧ On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Four I will not grant protection to, whether in the sacred precinct or outside it: al-Huwayrith b. Nufayl, Maqis b. Dababah, Hilal b. Khatal, and 'Abd Allah b. Sa'd b. Abi Sarh.” As for Huwayrith, 'Ali ؓ killed him. As for Maqis b. Dababah, a cousin of his killed him openly. As for Hilal b. Khatal, al-Zubayr killed him. As for 'Abd Allah b. Sa'd b. Abi Sarh, 'Uthman b. 'Affan sought protection for him, and he was his foster brother. And there were two singing slave girls belonging to Miqyas who used to sing satires against the Messenger of God ﷺ; one of them was killed and the other fled and later accepted Islam.
