حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْعَبْشِيُّ ثنا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ الطَّائِفِيُّ مِنْ وَلَدِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ ثنا جَدِّي عَنْ جَدِّهِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ

أَنَّ أَبَا أُحَيْحَةَ جَدَّهُ كَانَ مَرِيضًا حِينَ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ فِي مَرَضِهِ لَا تَرْفَعُونِي مِنْ مَضْجَعِي لَا يَعْدِلُ إِلَيْهِ ابْنُ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ بِمَكَّةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُهُ وَهُوَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ اللهُمَّ لَا تَرْفَعْهُ

Translation

✧ Abu Uhayhah, his grandfather, was ill when the Prophet ﷺ was sent. During his illness he said: 'Do not raise me from my bed; the son of Abu Kabshah will not turn toward me in Makkah.' His son, who was at his head, said: 'O God, do not raise him.'
