al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 5389

✧ Saad b. Ubadah al-Ansari, then al-Khazraji, a follower from Badr and Uhud, a captain, known as Abu Thabit, he stayed in Sham and passed away there.

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا خَالِدٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ فَايِدٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ أَمِيرِ عَشَرَةٍ إِلَّا يُؤْتَى بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْلُولًا لَا يَفُكُّهُ مِنَ الْغُلِّ إِلَّا الْعَدْلُ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, “There is no commander of ten but that he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection in chains, and nothing will release him from the chain except justice.”
