حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالُوا ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ ثنا إِيَادٌ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ابْنٍ لَهَا مَاتَ فَكَأَنَّ الْقَوْمَ عَنَّفُوهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ مَاتَ لِي اثْنَانِ مُذْ دَخَلْتُ الْإِسْلَامَ سِوَى هَذَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «وَاللهِ لَقَدِ احْتَظَرْتِ مِنَ النَّارِ احْتِظَارًا شَدِيدًا»

✧ A woman from the Ansar came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a son of hers who had died, and it was as if the people had rebuked her. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, two of my children have died since I entered Islam, besides this one.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'By Allah, you have shielded yourself from the Fire with a strong shielding.'
