حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَنْبَسَةَ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا الْمُهَاجِرُ بْنُ الْمُنِيبِ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَشْكُو إِلَيْكَ وَسْوَسَةً أَجِدُهَا فِي صَدْرِي إِنِّي أَدْخُلُ فِي صَلَاتِي فَمَا أَدْرِي عَلَى شَفْعٍ أنْفَتِلُ أَمْ عَلَى وِتْرٍ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِذَا وَجَدْتَ ذَلِكَ فَارْفَعْ إِصْبَعَكَ السَّبَّابَةَ الْيُمْنَى فَاطْعَنْهُ فِي فَخِذِكَ الْيُسْرَى وَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ فَإِنَّهَا سِكِّينُ الشَّيْطَانِ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I complain to you about whispers that I feel in my chest. When I am in prayer, I do not know whether to finish my prayer in a sitting position (after two units) or in a prostrating position (after one unit)." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you experience this, raise your right index finger and stab it in your left thigh and say, 'In the name of Allah,' for it is the weapon of the Satan."
