✧ Then, Thumamah bin Uqbah al-Muhlami, on the authority of Zaid bin Arqam

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللهَ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي» قُلْنَا لِزَيْدَ وَمَنْ أَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ؟ قَالَ «الَّذِينَ يُحْرَمُونَ الصَّدَقَةَ آلُ عَلِيٍّ وَآلُ الْعَبَّاسِ وَآلُ عَقِيلٍ وَآلُ جَعْفَرٍ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I adjure you by Allah concerning my household.” We said to Zayd: Who are the people of his house? He said: “Those who are forbidden from charity: the family of Ali, the family of al-Abbas, the family of Aqil, and the family of Ja'far.”
