حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ يَزِيدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

سَحَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ فَاشْتَكَى لِذَلِكَ أَيَّامًا فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ سَحَرَكَ عَقَدَ لَكَ عُقَدًا فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ عَلِيًّا ؓ فَاسْتَخْرَجَهَا فَجَاءَ بِهَا فَجَعَلَ كُلَّمَا حَلَّ عُقْدَةً وَجَدَ لِذَلِكَ خِفَّةً فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ كَأَنَّمَا نَشِطَ مِنْ عِقَالٍ فَمَا ذَكَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ذَلِكَ الْيَهُودِيَّ وَلَا رَآهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ قَطُّ

✧ A man from the Jews bewitched the Prophet ﷺ, and he suffered from that for some days. Then Jibril ﷺ came to him and said: “A man from the Jews has bewitched you; he has tied knots for you.” So the Messenger of Allah sent ‘Ali ؓ to him, and he extracted them and brought them. Every time he untied a knot, he felt relief, and the Prophet ﷺ stood up as if he had been released from a tether. The Prophet ﷺ never mentioned that Jew, nor did he ever show it in his face.”
