حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَلَّمَهُ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَعَاهَدَ بِهِ أَهْلَهُ كُلَّ صَبَاحٍ «لَبَّيْكَ اللهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ وَمِنْكَ وَبِكَ وَإِلَيْكَ اللهُمَّ مَا قُلْتُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ وَنَذَرْتُ مِنْ نَذْرٍ أَوْ حَلَفْتُ مِنْ حَلَفٍ فَمَشِيئَتُكَ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ مَا شِئْتَ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ تَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ وَاللهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ مَا صَلَّيْتُ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ فَعَلَى مَنْ صَلَّيْتُ وَمَا لَعَنْتَ مِنْ لَعْنَةٍ فَعَلَى مَنْ لَعَنْتَ أَنْتَ وَلِيِّ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكُ الرِّضَى بِالْقَدَرِ وَبَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَلَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ وَشَوْقًا إِلَى لِقَائِكَ مِنْ غَيْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مُضِرَّةٍ وَلَا فِتْنَةٍ مُضِلَّةٍ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ أَوْ أَعْتَدِي أَوْ يُعْتَدَى عَلَيَّ أَوْ أَكْتسِبَ خَطِيئَةً مُخْطِئَةً أَوْ أَذْنِبُ ذَنْبًا اللهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّماوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ فَإِنِّي أَعْهَدُ إِلَيْكَ فِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَأُشْهِدُكَ وَكَفَى بِكَ شَهِيدًا إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَكَ الْمَلِكُ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ وَعْدَكَ حَقٌّ وَلِقَاءَكَ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَإِنَّكَ تَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ إِنْ تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي تَكِلْنِي إِلَى ضِعْفٍ وَعَوْرَةٍ وَذَنْبٍ وَخَطِيئَةٍ فَإِنِّي لَا أَثِقُ إِلَّا بِرَحْمَتِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ taught him and commanded him to commit himself to it every morning for his family: "Here I am, O Allah, here I am; at Your service, and all good is in Your hands. From You, through You, and to You. O Allah, whatever word I have spoken, vow I have made, or oath I have sworn, Your will precedes it. What You will comes to pass, and what You do not will does not occur. There is no might nor power except with Allah, and Allah is over all things competent. O Allah, whatever prayer I have prayed, let it be upon the one I prayed for; whatever curse I have uttered, let it be upon the one I cursed. You are my protector in this world and the Hereafter. Make me die a Muslim and join me with the righteous. O Allah, I ask You for contentment with Your decree, a pleasant life after death, the delight of looking at Your face, and longing to meet You, without harmful adversity or misleading trial. I seek refuge with You lest I wrong or be wronged, transgress or be transgressed against, or earn a sin that leads astray, or commit an offense. O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Possessor of majesty and honor, I make a covenant with You in this worldly life, and I call You as witness—and sufficient is You as witness—that I bear witness that there is no god but You alone, with no partner. Yours is the dominion and Yours is the praise, and You are over all things competent. And I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger. I bear witness that Your promise is true, the meeting with You is true, and the Hour is coming—there is no doubt about it—and that You will resurrect those in the graves. I bear witness that if You entrust me to myself, You entrust me to weakness, vulnerability, sin, and error, for I trust only in Your mercy. So forgive me my sin, for none forgives sins but You, and turn to me in mercy—You are the Ever-Relenting, the Merciful."
