حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «نَضَّرَ اللهُ امْرَأً سَمِعَ مِنَّا حَدِيثًا فَحَفِظَهُ فَبَلَّغَهُ فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ لَيْسَ بِفَقِيهٍ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "May God brighten [the face of] a person who hears a hadith from us, memorizes it, and conveys it. For many a bearer of understanding is not himself a faqih."
