حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَا ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِمَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ جَالِسًا فَجَلَسْتُ عَنْدَهُ فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمْلَى عَلَيْهِ {لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ} {وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ} فَقَالَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ أَسْتَطِيعُ الْجِهَادَ لَجَاهَدْتُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ عَلَيْهِ وَفَخِذُهُ عَلَى فَخِذِي فَثَقُلَتْ فَخِذُهُ عَلَيَّ حَتَّى كَادَتْ فَخِذِي تَرُضُّ ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ {غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ}

✧ He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ dictated to him: {Not equal are those who sit} {and the mujahidin}. Ibn Umm Maktum said, “By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, if I were able to go on jihad, I would.” Then Allah ﷻ revealed upon him, while his thigh was on my thigh, and his thigh became heavy on me until my thigh was about to be crushed. Then it was relieved from him, and he said: {except the disabled}.
