✧ Lineage of Ruqanah bin Abdullah Yazid bin Hashim bin Muttalib bin Abdimanaf bin Qusayy bin Kilaab bin Murrah bin Kaab bin Luayy bin Ghalib bin Fehr, and his mother is the daughter of al-Ajlan, from the tribe of Saad bin Layth bin Bakr bin Kinanah. It is said that he lived until the time of Uthman bin Affan.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيٌّ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ غُنَيْمٍ الْكَلَاعِيِّ عَنْ نَصِيحٍ عَنْ رَكْبٍ الْمِصْرِيِّ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «طُوبَى لِمَنْ تَوَاضَعَ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَنْقَصَةٍ وذَلَّ فِي نَفْسِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَسْكَنَةٍ وَأَنْفَقَ مَالًا جَمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَعْصِيَةٍ وَرَحِمَ الْمَسَاكِينَ أَهْلَ الْمَسْكَنَةِ وَخَالَطَ أَهْلَ الْفِقْهِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ طُوبَى لِمَنْ ذَلَّ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَطَابَ كَسْبُهُ وَأَصْلَحَ سَرِيرَتَهُ وَعَزَلَ عَنِ النَّاسِ شَرَّهُ طُوبَى لِمَنْ عَمِلَ بِعِلْمِهِ وَأَنْفَقَ الْفَضْلَ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَأَمْسَكَ الْفَضْلَ مِنْ قَوْلِهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Blessed is one who is humble without deficiency, humbles himself without poverty, spends wealth he has gathered without disobedience, shows mercy to the poor and needy, and associates with people of understanding and wisdom. Blessed is one who humbles himself, makes his earning good, improves his inner self, and keeps his evil away from people. Blessed is one who acts upon his knowledge, spends the surplus of his wealth, and withholds the surplus of his speech.”
