حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ثنا عَمِّي حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَلَّادٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ وَكَانَ بَدْرِيًّا قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلَّى قَرِيبًا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَوَقَفَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَعِدْ صَلَاتَكَ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ» فَصَلَّى نَحْوًا مِمَّا صَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَوَقَفَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَعِدْ صَلَاتَكَ فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ» قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي قَالَ «إِذَا تَوَجَّهْتَ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ فَكَبِّرْ ثُمَّ اقْرَأْ بِمَا شَاءَ اللهُ أنْ تَقْرَأَ فَإِذَا رَكَعْتَ فَاجْعَلْ رَاحَتَيْكَ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْكَ وَامْدُدْ ظَهْرَكَ وَمَكِّنْ لِرُكُوعِكَ فَإِذَا رَفَعْتَ فَأَقِمْ صُلْبَكَ حَتَّى تَرْجِعَ الْعِظَامُ إِلَى مَفَاصِلِهَا فَإِذَا سَجَدْتَ فَمَكِّنْ سُجُودَكَ فَإِذَا رَفَعْتَ فَاجْلِسْ عَلَى فَخِذِكَ الْيُسْرَى وَافْعَلْ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ وَسَجْدَةٍ»

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was sitting in the mosque and prayed near him. Then he finished, stood, and greeted him. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Repeat your prayer, for you have not prayed." He prayed similarly to what he had prayed, then finished and stood before the Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: "Repeat your prayer, for you have not prayed." He said: "O Prophet of God, teach me." He said: "When you face the qiblah, magnify God, then recite what God wills you to recite. When you bow, place your palms on your knees, extend your back, and settle into your bowing. When you rise, straighten your back until the bones return to their joints. When you prostrate, settle into your prostration. When you rise, sit on your left thigh, and do likewise in every rak'ah and prostration."
