حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالُوا ثنا هِلَالُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْمُزَنِيِّ قَالَ أَقْبَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَصِيفٌ أَوْ فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ

وَقَالَ يَعْلَى خُمَاسِيٌّ أَوْ سُدَاسِيٌّ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ «فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ شَهْبَاءَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ يُعَبِّرُ عَنْهُ وَالنَّاسُ مِنْ بَيْنِ جَالِسٍ وَقَائِمٍ فَجَلَسَ أَبِي وتخلَّلْتُ الرِّكَابَ حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ الْبَغْلَةَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِرِكَابِهِ وَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ فَمَسَحْتُ حَتَّى السَّاقِ حَتَّى بَلَغْتُ بِهَا الْقَدَمَ ثُمَّ أَدْخَلْتُ كَفِّي بَيْنَ النَّعْلِ وَالْقَدَمِ فَيُخَيَّلُ إِلَيَّ السَّاعَةَ أَنِّي أَجِدُ بَرْدَ قَدَمَيْهِ عَلَى كَفِّي» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ الْأُمَوِيِّ

✧ And Ya'la said: it is fivefold or sixfold in the Farewell Pilgrimage: “Then the Messenger of God ﷺ was addressing the people on a gray mule, while Ali b. Abi Talib ؓ was interpreting for him, and the people were either sitting or standing. My father sat down and I made my way through the riding camels until I reached the mule, then I took hold of its stirrup and placed my hand on his knee, wiping down to the shin until I reached the foot. Then I put my palm between the sandal and the foot, and it seems to me even now that I feel the coolness of his feet on my palm.” The wording is that of the Umawi hadith.
