حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثنا غِيَاثُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ فِي يَدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ خَيْطًا فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَ «أَسْتَذْكِرُ بِهِ»

Translation

✧ I saw a thread in the hand of the Prophet ﷺ, so I asked: What is this? He said: "I use it to remind myself."
