حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ الزُّرَقِيِّ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ يَوْمًا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُمْ قِدْرٌ تَفُورُ لَحْمًا فَأَعْجَبَتْنِي شَحْمَةٌ فَأَخَذْتُهَا فَازْدَرَتُّهَا فَاشْتَكَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا سَنَةً ثُمَّ إِنِّي ذَكَرْتُهُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِيهَا نَفْسُ سَبْعَةِ أَنَاسِيَّ» ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بَطْنِي فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا خَضْرَاءَ فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَهُ بِالْحَقِّ مَا اشْتَكَيْتُ بَطْنِي حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ

✧ One day I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and there was a pot boiling with meat. A piece of fat appealed to me, so I took it and swallowed it, and I suffered from it for a year. Then I mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: "It contained the soul of seven people." Then he wiped my stomach, and I vomited it out green. By the One who sent him with the truth, I have not suffered from my stomach until this hour.
