حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا شُجَاعُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَاللَّفْظُ لِشُجَاعٍ قَالَا ثنا هُشَيْمٌ أَنَا أَبُو بَلْجٍ عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ

أَنَّ جَدَّهُ تُوُفِّيَ وَتَرَكَ أَمَةً تَغُلُّ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَرِهَ كَسْبَ الْأَمَةِ وَقَالَ «لَعَلَّهَا لَا تَجِدُ شَيْئًا فَتَبْتَغِيَ بِنَفْسِهَا» وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بَلْجٍ عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ

✧ His grandfather died and left a slave girl who earned. They mentioned that to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he disliked the earnings of a slave girl and said: 'Perhaps she finds nothing and then earns with herself.' Ibn Abi Shaybah said in its chain: Hushaym narrated to us from Abu Balj from 'Abayah b. Rifa'ah b. Rafi' al-Ansari.
