حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَزْرَقُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ خُفَافِ بْنِ إِيمَاءَ قَالَ قَالَ

خُفَافُ بْنُ إِيمَاءَ رَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ «غِفَارُ غَفَرَ اللهُ لَهَا وَأَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللهُ وَعُصَيَّةُ عَصَتِ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ اللهُمَّ الْعَنْ بَنِي لِحْيَانَ وَرِعْلًا وَذَكْوَانَ» ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ وَقَعَ سَاجِدًا قَالَ خُفَافٌ فَجُعِلَتْ لَعْنَةُ الْكَفَرَةِ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ

✧ Khafāf b. Īmāʾ: The Messenger of God ﷺ bowed, then raised his head and said: “Ghifār—may God forgive them—Aslam—may God grant them peace—and ʿUṣayya disobeyed God and His Messenger. O God, curse Banū Liḥyān, Riʿl, and Dhakwān.” Then he went down into prostration. Khafāf said: On account of that, the curse of the disbelievers was made to fall.
