حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ الْمِصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ أَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ خَوَّاتِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ

مَاتَ رَجُلٌ وَأَوْصَى إِلَيَّ فَكَانَ فِيمَا أَوْصَى بِهِ أُمُّ وَلَدِهِ وَامْرَأَةٌ حُرَّةٌ فَوَقَعَ بَيْنَ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ كَلَامٌ فَقَالَتْ لَهَا الْمَرْأَةُ يَا لَكْعَاءُ غَدًا يُؤْخَذُ بِأُذُنِكِ فَتُبَاعِينَ فِي السُّوقِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا تُبَاعُ»

✧ A man died and left a bequest to me. Among what he bequeathed were the mother of his child and a free woman. There occurred between the mother of the child and the woman some talk, and the woman said to her: "You wretched one, tomorrow you will be taken by your ear and sold in the market." I mentioned that to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said: "She will not be sold."
