حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَالْمِسْوَرَ بْنَ مَخْرَمَةَ اخْتَلَفَا فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ بِالْمَاءِ مِنْ غَيْرِ جَنَابَةٍ فَأَرْسَلَانِي إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَهُوَ فِي بَعْضِ مِيَاهِ مَكَّةَ أَسْأَلُهُ

عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَجِئْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ بَيْنَ الْقَرْنَيْنِ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ قَدْ سَتَرَ بِثَوْبٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ «فَطَأْطَأَ الثَّوْبَ بِيَدِهِ حَتَّى بَدَا رَأْسُهُ ثُمَّ حَرَّكَ رَأْسَهُ وَشَعْرَهُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقْبَلَ بِيَدَيْهِ فِي شَعْرِهِ وَأَدْبَرَ» ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُمْ

✧ So I came to him and found Abū Ayyūb between the two posts washing his head, having screened himself with a garment. I asked him, and he lowered the garment with his hand until his head appeared, then moved his head and hair with his hands, bringing his hands forward through his hair and back. Then he said: “This is how I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ bathe while in iḥrām.” Ibrāhīm said: I returned to them and informed them.
