حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ثنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ صَاحِبَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى أَنْ يَسْتَقْبِلَ الَّذِي يَذْهَبُ الْغَائِطَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَقَالَ «شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا» لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ

✧ He heard Abu Ayyub, the Companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, forbidding the one who goes to defecate from facing the qiblah, and he said: "Turn eastward or westward." He did not trace it back to the Prophet.
