حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا خَالِدٌ الْوَاسِطِيُّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ

أَوْجَرْتُ رَجُلًا الرُّمْحَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِأُسَامَةَ «كَيْفَ لَكَ بِلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؟» قَالَ ذَلِكَ مِرَارًا حَتَّى وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ أَسْلَمْتُ قَبْلَ تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ

✧ I thrust a spear into a man while he was saying 'There is no god but Allah.' The Prophet ﷺ said to Usamah: 'What will you do with "There is no god but Allah" on the Day of Resurrection?' He repeated that several times until I wished that I had not become Muslim before that moment.
