حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَجِيحٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ تَنَاوَلَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ بِشَيْءٍ فَكَلَّمَهُ فِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَغَضِبَ الْأَمِيرَ؟ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أُرِدْ أَنْ أُغْضِبَهُ وَلَكِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَشَدُّهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ عَذَابًا فِي الدُّنْيَا»

✧ Al-Qa'nabi and Ibrahim b. Bashshar al-Ramadi narrated to us, saying: Sufyan b. 'Uyaynah narrated to us, saying: 'Amr b. Dinar narrated to us, saying: Abu Najih narrated to me from Khalid b. Hakim b. Hizam, who said: Abu 'Ubaydah b. al-Jarrah took hold of a man from the people of the earth over something, and Khalid b. al-Walid spoke to him about it. It was said to him, “Did you anger the commander?” He said, “I did not intend to anger him, but I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, ‘The people most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who were most severe in punishing people in this world.’”
