حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْنَا خَبَّابًا أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قُلْنَا بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «بِاضْطِرَابِ لَحْيَيْهِ»

✧ We asked Khabbab: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite in Zuhr and 'Asr? He said: 'Yes.' We said: How did you know that? He said: 'By the movement of his beard.'
