حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُجَالِدٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنْ بَيَانِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ وَابْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

دَخَلْنَا عَلَى خَبَّابٍ نَعُودُهُ وَقَدِ اكْتَوَى فَقَالَ «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نَدْعُوَ بِالْمَوْتِ وَلَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَدَعَوْتُ وَهُوَ يُعَالِجُ حَائِطًا لَهُ»
