حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا ابْنُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ
أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ وَعَلَيْهِ حَجَّةُ الْإِسْلَامِ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ إِلَّا مَعْرُوضًا أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ فَصَمَتَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ»

✧ He asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying, “My father is an old man who owes the ḥajj of Islam, but he cannot travel except lying crosswise. Should I perform ḥajj on his behalf?” He remained silent, then said, “Perform ḥajj on behalf of your father.”
