حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ
عَنْ أَبِي جُمُعَةَ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سِبَاعٍ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ وَنَسِيَ الْعَصْرَ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «هَلْ رَأَيْتُمُونِي صَلَّيْتُ الْعَصْرَ؟» قَالُوا لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَذَّنَ ثُمَّ أَقَامَ فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ وَنَقَصَ الْأُولَى ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ

✧ From Abu Jumʿa Ḥabīb b. Sibāʿ—he was one of the Companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ—that the Messenger of God ﷺ prayed Maghrib and forgot ʿAṣr. He said to his Companions, “Did you see me pray ʿAṣr?” They said, “No, O Messenger of God.” So the Messenger of God ﷺ ordered the muezzin, who called the adhān, then the iqāma, and he prayed ʿAṣr, and the first one was shortened, then he prayed Maghrib.
