حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ثنا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ

ذَكَرَ فِتْنَةً يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ فَقَالَ «يَذْهَبُ النَّاسُ فِيهَا أَسْرَعَ ذَهَابٍ» فَقِيلَ كُلُّهُمْ هَالِكٌ؟ قَالَ «حَسْبُهُمُ الْقَتْلُ»

✧ He mentioned a tribulation — meaning the Prophet ﷺ — like patches of dark night. He said, "People will go in it in the quickest going." It was said, "Will all of them perish?" He said, "The killing will be enough for them."
