حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قِيرَاطٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مُعَانِقٍ الدِّمَشْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ سَأَلَ اللهَ الْقَتْلَ فِي سَبِيلِهِ صَادِقًا عَنْ نَفْسِهِ ثُمَّ مَاتَ أَوْ قُتِلَ فَلَهُ أَجْرُ شَهِيدٍ وَمَنْ جُرِحَ جُرْحًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ نُكِبَ نَكْبَةً فَإِنَّهَا تَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَغْزَرِ مَا كَانَتْ لَوْنُهَا كَالزَّعْفَرَانِ وَرِيحُهَا رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ وَمَنْ خَرَجَ بِهِ جِرَاحٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ طَابَعُ الشُّهَدَاءِ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: “Whoever asks Allah for death in His path, sincerely from his own soul, then dies or is killed, he will have the reward of a martyr. Whoever is wounded with a wound in the path of Allah, or is afflicted with an injury, it will come on the Day of Resurrection in the most abundant form it ever had, its color like saffron and its scent like musk. Whoever departs with wounds in the path of Allah, upon him is the seal of the martyrs.”
