✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage in the middle of the days of sacrifice: “Is this not the sacred day?” They said: “Yes, O Messenger of God.” He said: “The sanctity between you until the Day of Resurrection is like the sanctity of this day.” Then he said: “Shall I tell you who the Muslim is? The one from whose tongue the Muslims are safe. And shall I tell you who the believer is? The one whom the believers trust with their lives and their blood. And shall I tell you who the emigrant is? The one who abandons evil deeds and abandons what God has forbidden. The believer is sacred to the believer like the sanctity of this day. His flesh is sacred to him – it is forbidden for him to eat it or to backbite him in his absence. His honor is sacred to him – it is forbidden to tear it. His face is sacred to him – it is forbidden to slap it. And it is forbidden for him to push him with a push that harms him.”
