حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمُ بْنُ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْيَوْمُ الْمَوْعُودُ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ وَإِنَّ الشَّاهِدَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَإِنَّ الْمَشْهُودَ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَيَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ ذَخَرَهُ اللهُ لَنَا وَصَلَاةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “The promised day is the Day of Resurrection; the witness is the day of Friday; and the witnessed is the day of ʿArafah. Friday is a day God has stored up for us, and the middle prayer is the afternoon (ʿaṣr) prayer.”
