حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ «اجْتَمِعُوا أُصَلِّي بِكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» فَاجْتَمَعُوا فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ؟ فَقَالُوا لَا إِلَّا ابْنَ أُخْتٍ لَنَا قَالَ فَذَلِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ «فَدَعَا بِجَفْنَةٍ فِيهَا مَاءٌ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَهُمْ شُهُودٌ فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَظَهْرِ قَدَمَيْهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِهِمُ الظُّهْرَ فَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً يُكَبِّرُ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَقَرَأَ بِهِمْ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ وَأَسْمَعَ مَنْ يَلِيهِ»

✧ He said to his people, “Gather so that I may lead you in the prayer of the Messenger of God ﷺ.” They gathered, and he said, “Is there anyone among you [who is not of you]?” They said, “No, except a nephew of ours.” He said, “One's sister's son is of the people.” “He called for a wide bowl containing water and performed ablution while they watched: he rinsed his mouth and snuffed water three times, washed his face three times and his arms three times, wiped his head and the top of his feet. Then he led them in Zuhr, saying the takbīr in it twenty-two times — saying takbīr when he prostrated and when he raised his head — and he recited to them in the first two rak'ahs and made those nearest to him hear.”
