حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ هُرْمُزَ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ

عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ بِحَسْبِ أَحَدِكُمْ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ تَهَجَّدَ « إِنَّمَا التَّهَجُّدُ الْمَرْءُ يُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ بَعْدَ رَقْدَةٍ ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةَ بَعْدَ رَقْدَةٍ وَتِلْكَ كَانَتْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ On the authority of al-Hajjaj b. 'Amr b. Ghaziyyah, the Companion of the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: It is enough for one of you, when he gets up at night to pray until morning, that he has performed tahajjud. "Indeed, tahajjud is that a man prays a prayer after a sleep, then prays a prayer after a sleep. And that was the prayer of the Messenger of God ﷺ."
