حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ السَّفَرِ بْنِ نُسَيْرٍ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ

أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ بِمَ أَرْسَلَكَ رَبُّنَا؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَكُلُّ مُسْلِمٍ مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ حَرَامٌ يَا حَكِيمُ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ هَذَا دِينُكَ أَيْنَمَا تَكُنْ يَكْفِكَ»

Translation

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, with what did our Lord send you?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “That you worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, give zakat, and every Muslim is inviolable to another Muslim. O Hakim b. Muʿawiya, this is your religion; wherever you are, it will suffice you.”
