حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سَوْرَةَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ وَأَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخٍ لَكُمْ مَاتَ بِغَيْرِ أَرْضِكُمْ» قَالُوا وَمَنْ هُوَ؟ قَالَ «النَّجَاشِيُّ» فَصَلَّوْا عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَى مَنْ هَرَبَ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came out to us and said: "Pray over a brother of yours who died outside your land." They said: "Who is he?" He said: "Al-Najāshī." So they prayed over him. He had been good to those of the Muslims who fled to him.
