حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ثنا أَبِي ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّزَّالَ بْنَ سَبْرَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْنَا أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ مَا قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ؟ قَالَ قَالَ

«أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ صَبَاحٍ إِلَى النَّارِ اشْتَرُوا لِي ثَوْبَيْنِ أَبْيَضَيْنِ فَكَفِّنُونِي فِيهِمَا فَإِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يُتْرَكَا عَلَيَّ إِلَّا يَسِيرًا حَتَّى أُكْسَى خَيْرًا مِنْهُمَا أَوْ أُسْلَبَهُمَا سَلْبًا سَرِيعًا»

✧ I seek refuge in God from a morning that leads to the Fire. Buy for me two white garments and shroud me in them, for they will not remain on me except a short while until I am clothed with something better than them or I am stripped of them quickly.
