✧ The food of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to rotate among his companions: one night for this one and one night for that one. He said: It was my turn one night, so I prepared food for the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I left the skin of ghee without tying it and I went with the food to him. It moved and its contents spilled. I said: Was the food of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spilled because of my hand? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Bring it here.” I said: I cannot, O Messenger of Allah. So I returned to my place, and there was the skin saying, “Qab, qab.” I said: Enough, a little leftover that remained in it has been spilled. I came to look into it and found it filled up to its two udders, so I pulled it and brought it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. He said, “Indeed, if you had left it, it would have been filled up to its mouth, then tied.”
